For those tekkies out there, here is a brief run down on some of our equipment.
To shoot action indoors without flash, our photographers generally use high end Canon camera equipment. A couple of typical setups would be a Canon 1d MKII N with a 70-200mm F2.8 L or a Canon 30d with a 24-70mm F2.8 L.
As you can imagine, with several photographers as most events, we also carry a mountain of high speed memory cards. Once a photographer returns a memory card back to the computer technician, the photos are categorised and uploaded to our file server. During this process our event photography software resizes the files and shares them on the viewing stations making them available to browse instantly.
Once an order is placed, our computer technician crops the image and performs any alterations needed before printing. The photo is then ready to print on our high speed dye sublimation printers. These printers produce a high quality print similar to the ones produced when using a professional photo lab. During the print process the photos are sealed with a laminate, this means the prints will resist water and fingerprints; and they'll last a lifetime. |
